The passing of Gianfranco Villagomez-Saldana

Dear Students and Faculty,
The School of Architecture, Design, and Planning family is deeply saddened by news yesterday of the passing of Gianfranco Villagomez-Saldana, one of our recent graduates. He graduated in May with a BFA in industrial design, and was now pursuing a degree in computer science in the School of Engineering. He was a beloved student.
Sharmin Kader Honored by Academy of Architecture for Health

The Academy of Architecture for Health and the STERIS Corporation have named Sharmin Kader its Arthur Tuttle, Jr. Graduate Fellow in Health Facility Planning and Design. The Academy is part of the American Institute of Architecture.

LAWRENCE — If you ask him what time it is, University of Kansas student Nate Borozinski, Olathe, could literally tell you how to build a clock. The industrial design student designed and built the Muse Clock as a industrial-design class project, and it has taken the world of design blogs by storm. So far five different websites have featured the timepiece.
