Celebrate 100 Years of Architectural Education at KU April 26-27

We hope you will be able to join us and fellow alumni on April 26 and 27, 2013 as we celebrate 100 years of architectural education at KU. The following celebratory events are scheduled to mark this very important milestone; events that will give you and your classmates an opportunity to get together and celebrate your years here in the School.

Schedule of Events
Friday, April 26:
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon – Welcome/Open House, Marvin Hall
Check in and pick up your Reunion t-shirt – make sure and place your order in advance at the online registration site. Friday morning open studios. Feel free to visit one or as many as you like. Interact with current Architecture students and experience an Architecture studio in the 21st century. See the current Marvin Hall on a special tour given by Architecture students. Stroll the halls of Marvin Hall to view the exhibition of work of current Architecture students.

2:00 p.m. – Architecture 100th Birthday Party, lawn directly west of Marvin Hall. Come meet Baby Jay who will be in attendance to help us celebrate this important milestone. Enjoy a piece of birthday cake.

5:30 to 7:00 p.m. – Reception, KU Alumni Association (Host beer and soda; cash wine). Visit with current faculty and fellow alumni. Stop by the Photo Booth operated by AIAS and have your photo taken with your former classmates and Baby Jay.

7:00 to 9:00 p.m. – Alumni Banquet, Kansas Union Ballroom ($30). Seating is limited for this event, so please make sure to register online by the deadline.

Saturday, April 27:
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon – Marvin Hall
Joe’s Donuts will be served. See the current Marvin Hall on a special tour given by Architecture students. Stroll around the halls of Marvin Hall to view the exhibition of work of current Architecture students.

12:00 Noon – Alumni Lunch, lawn directly west of Marvin Hall ($12).
Enjoy a boxed lunch with your fellow alumni and reminisce about your days here at KU.

Board Submissions
All alumni are asked to submit one board that is a representation of themselves (choice of individual or firm’s work). It can be a single image, a grid or a collage. The representation must be fully adhered to a 24” square piece of 3/16” foam core board. As a minimum, it must include your name and the year of your graduation. We will provide the Velcro for mounting. All submittals will be displayed in the Art and Design Gallery. Submittals are to be sent to the following address for receipt no later than Friday, April 5:
